Bear Mountain Valley Course Hole 14

Vancouver Island’s Bear Mountain Golf Resort and Spa has entered into an affiliate club partnership with Pacific Links International, an exclusive membership network, that will enable Bear Mountain golf members playing privileges at over 100 signature golf courses in North America, Asia, Australia, and Hawaii.

PLI’s affiliate and reciprocal play program provides access to more than 100 golf courses around the world, with a strong presence throughout North America, Asia, and Australia. Members are able to enjoy more variety, flexibility, and a wider range of membership categories and prices than traditional golf memberships.

“The collaboration with Bear Mountain is Pacific Links’ first resort partnership in Canada and will allow us to offer our members even more high-caliber experiences as we continue to build our roster to create the ultimate golf tour of Western Canada,” said Bruce Simmonds, PLI’s CEO. “This region is a prime travel destination with attractions that include Jasper National Park and Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies, the internationally prized wine region of the Okanagan Valley, the world renowned resort municipality of Whistler, and the cosmopolitan coastal city of Vancouver and Vancouver Island.”

Bear Mountain features two courses that combine to become the only 36-hole Nicklaus design golf experience in Canada. The par-70 Mountain Course features a 180-degree view of nearby Victoria, the Pacific Ocean, and the Olympic Mountains of Washington State, while the par-71 Valley Course is surrounded by 121,406 ha (300,000 acres) of parkland and hiking trails.

“The Bear Mountain team is pleased to be a part of Pacific Links’ prestigious and expansive membership program,” said Dan Matthews, president and CEO of Ecoasis Developments. “A partnership with Pacific Links will go a long way in supporting our goal of elevating golf experiences for our members and the reputation at Bear Mountain as the finest Golf Resort facility in Canada.”
